The 7 Most Dangerous Jobs In The World

For some people sitting in an office or behind a computer just isn't an option. For those that need more of a thrill to get their job satisfaction it's all about DANGER!

Here at MoneyBuildr.com we sit behind computers in our comfy air conditioned offices. The most dangerous thing that happens round here is an unexpected coffee spill or a nasty slip in the bathroom. But there are many people who crave the adrenaline "buzz" that comes with a working day, or night, that involves danger.

For some people getting paid for their work is just a bonus

There is nothing quite as rewarding as living life on the edge and if you can achieve this while working and earning money for it then it's even better

As reported by Karmicchristian on Squidoo.com some of the most rewarding jobs are in fact the most dangerous and can even be life threatening. Yet this doesn't stop many people around the world, and from all walks of life, doing them.

if you are sitting there at your desk all comfy and cozy (like me), reading this as i suspect you are, you may sometimes wonder what type of jobs are out there which could offer you a little more excitement. If so, read on! But don't hand in your notice....just yet.

1: Firefighter

Firefighters are fit and brave and selfless. They throw themselves into life threatening situations daily taking huge risks and with little regard for themselves save lives. It takes a certain kind of person to do this. The hours are long and random, the pay often not amazing. But some people are born to help and to save others. Firefighting is indeed a noble job but not for the faint-hearted.

2: Riot Police

These guys really have their work cut out for them. Working under relentlessly difficult conditions day in day out. Once again it also takes a certain type of person to do this job, handling mobs of angry protestors or rioters while working under strict protocol and procedure. You need to be strong as well as smart and patient to be a riot police officer.

3: Astronaut

Not everyone gets to be an astronaut despite their childhood dreams and aspirations. For those that do it is an uncertain career choice. Delving into the depths of space, never sure if you will return home or not. Astronauts are also people who live life dangerously and have a certain selfless quality wanting to explore the universe and to reveal it to others.

4: Oil Rig Worker

Offshore drilling rigs are an extremely challenging place to work. Earning your bread as an oil or gas rig worker means not only long hours but months on end away from home, away from dry land on the rig. If that is not enough to contend with the living quarters aren't anything to write home about (not that you could even if you wanted to). With cramped sleeping areas and close quarters this is a stressful job not to mention the inherent risks and perils involved in the work itself.

5: Heavy Construction Worker

Heavy construction is just that, heavy! no matter where you are in the world when you work in this industry you need strength and determination. Construction workers are renowned all over for being underpaid and often taken advantage of. Working in difficult conditions and with huge risks. It isn't cheap getting insurance if you work in this difficult but vital trade.

6: Sewer Cleaner

If it's glamor you're looking for this job is not for you. But did you know that being a sewer cleaner or a sewage worker has some pretty dangerous risks involved? As well as the stench, the unsanitary conditions and the darkness there are many serious health risks involved in this job. Infectious diseases, reparatory problems ans skin conditions are all associated with this less than glorious job, but someone has to do it!

7: High rise window cleaner

Some people live with their head in the clouds and some literally so! High rise window cleaning is as dangerous as it is exhilarating. Abseiling down a sky scraper with sponges and scrapers or suspended thousands of feet above the ground, if nothing else, gets the adrenaline pumping and certainly gives a person a reason to get up for work in the morning. Not recommended for those who suffer from vertigo!
